Cabin Fever

Anyone else getting Cabin Fever lately? Well the best cure I know for such a thing is more cabins—LOG CABINS, that is! Join us this Thursday as we learn the tricks you’ll need to make your own log cabin-y things: blankets, dishcloths, pillows, hats…the sky’s the limit.

You can use your stash yarn for this (and you’ll need to match the needle size to the yarn) so it’s an easy quick fix for yet another night at home.

Zoom codes will be sent out midday on Thursday for that night’s class. Can’t wait to see you online!

Special Times = Special Classes

Online classes! That’s right, I have figured out how to offer online classes while one and all are cooped up avoiding close contact with people .

What you’ll need to do:

1. Download the Zoom app to your tablet or smart phone

2. Pick a class! Or let’s talk about a private lesson

3. Gather supplies…I’ll do my best to keep a current list of open online yarn purveyors. For the purpose of online classes, I will attempt to have small in-class projects, so your yarn needs for learning will hopefully be manageable. But you’ll definitely want to use light or bright yarn colors so I can see what you’re doing!

4. At class time, log in to the meeting/class with the info I will send you. Situate yourself in a well-lit, quiet space and get ready to learn something new!

New pattern! The Emily Cowl

A warm and cuddly cowl with alternating garter and yarn-over lace sections that knits up quick in a squishy bulky yarn.

Named in honor of my beautiful friend Emily, when she had to leave Charleston and return to the Frozen North (Ohio), this cowl is designed to keep someone you love warm and toasty, no matter how far away they are.

I have been a busy gal over here at KnitOasis HQ. Classes are booming, my students are AMAZING, new designs are popping up and I’m working on some reorganization to make patterns and tutorials and fun stuff easily accessible to YOU.

July classes and events can be found here. Offerings for Fall will include a brand new Knit-A-Long that will be chock full of awesome techniques for your knitting tool box (and of course an awesome project).
